MAXIMUS
Born Feb 9th 2018
Bio: A.K.A. "Max" "Maxie"
Jake and I got a new male puppy in April 2018 from a breeder in MO. He was trained by Molly his first year at our farm in Kempton then went to the Laurel farm to finish his training and get exposure to our goats. Max is now fully trained and the leader of his pack. Max is fully AKC registered and from a breeder in MO with over 20 years experience. His mom's name is Sadie and his dad's name is Hank. Max's registered name is: Wilson's Pyrtection Maximus. Max is shy and wary of strangers but loves belly rubs from his family. He is protective of his area and his ladies. He has alerted us to stray dogs in the front yard on several occasions. He is always the first to let you know something is wrong. Right now Iris is his best friend and they play together a lot since they are both young dogs still. Max if a big boy and definitely would make anyone/thing that came to do harm think twice. He has matured into a great guard.
At 14 weeks old he weighed 38.6 lbs and at 8 mold old he weighed 74.9 lbs.

GRACE
Born Jan 1st 2017
Bio: A.K.A. "Gracie"
My husband and I jointly bought Grace from the same breeder I got my first Great Pyrenees puppy, Molly, from. Our first two adult Great Pyrenees trained Molly and it went so well we wanted to start another puppy from the same breeder. Unfortunately, that breeder no longer has a farm or Great Pyrenees. Grace was trained by Molly. Grace is fully registered and a half-sister to Molly. She is very affectionate and a natural at guarding. I've never had a puppy so easy to train and so reliable at such an early age. Grace was put full-time in with the birds (with Molly still with her) at about 9-10 months old. Grace has a similar personality to Molly which makes it hard to keep them together on the same farm. Grace lives with my husband and I on our farm and Molly lives with my parents on their farm. Both ladies want to be in charge of the pack. Grace loves kids and is very curious about the world around her. She isn't shy but is patient and not boisterous. Her partner, Samson, have become truly love birds and a real team. I've never had a male/female pair so "in love" and like a team as if they understand each other. You will often find Grace and Sam sitting out in the pasture together. Sam has learned a lot from Grace and acts more mature with having Grace around too. She often takes the night shift and sleeps more during the day where he usually is awake more often during the day.
At 8 months old she weighed 70 lbs, at 1.5 years old Grace weighed 79 lbs she currently weighs 88 lbs at 4 years old.

SAMSON
Born Nov 29th 2019
Bio: A.K.A. "Sam" "Sammie"
Samson is a 2019 son of Mia and Max. We are keeping him to be trained on our farms. As a puppy, he was a badger marked male with a face mask. He was unique in that he didn't have any spots on his rump or tail. He was the largest male as well as the largest puppy of the litter. I believe his is on track to be larger than his father, Max. As a puppy he was confident and would seek out attention. He was my mother's favorite and got lots of special attention because of it. As a puppy he was curious and often in the group of puppies who are most active. As an adult, he is cautious of strangers but will warm up to them if we are with new people and he figures out the new people will rub behind his ears which is his favorite spot to be rubbed. Our neighbor stops at the fence most mornings and talks to Sam from his car. Since about late April Sam has lived at our farm in Kempton, IN with Grace. They have fallen in love, for lack of a better word. You can always find them together and it seems like they just understand each other well. I've never had a pair of dogs act so much as a team as Sam and Grace. Sam is a total gentleman. Usually Grace takes the majority of the night shift and Sam is more awake during the day. Sam is still learning a lot from Grace, like to bark at large flying birds, but he is learning quick and probably more calm as a guardian because of his teacher, Grace. If you get in the pen with Sam and sit/lay down he will be right beside you begging for rubs behind the ears or he just wants to lay in your lap if you'll let him. He weighed 57 lbs at 17 weeks old. At 16 months old he weighed 99lbs.

IRIS
Born Nov 29th 2019
Bio: A.K.A. "Yellow" "Yellow Dog" "Sunshine" Iris is a 2019 daughter of Mia and Max. We are keeping her to be trained on our farms. As a puppy, Iris was a badger marked female with a face mask and small tan spot at the base of her tail. Her colored markings have faded considerably. Now she has a bit of darker fur on the ends of her ears similar to her mother. She is outgoing and often seeks out attention making her confident with people. She is more outgoing than her mother was at this age but she has a similar goofy personality that her mother had at that age. As a puppy you could often find her in a group socializing with other puppies or investigating. She has confidence making her independent enough to be either a homestead or livestock guardian. Iris has been training with Max, Molly, and her mother Mia on our farm in Laurel. Her best friend is Max and she LOVES to play with him (or bug him). Molly makes sure to teach Iris who is in charge (which is Molly) and dolls out the discipline when Iris gets a bit too boisterous. Mia watches out for Iris but doesn't play with her like Max will. Although not as strict as Molly, Mia doesn't tolerate too many shenanigans. Iris loves people and seems like she loves to be where the action is. She is doing well with ignoring the goats and mostly ignoring the ducks but the guineas are hard to ignore. The adult dogs have a positive influence on Iris because they do not react to the goats or poultry. Iris is learning what gets you praise and treats from your people.

MIA
Born June 9th 2015
Bio: A.K.A. "Mia Fia" or "Momma Mia"
My husband and I bought Mia as a puppy from a fellow poultry breeder. She is not registered but is full blood Great Pyrenees. Her breeder had her mother, father, and grandmother as well as other related family members at his farm. When she was younger she was a little shy with strangers but as she has gotten older and met more people she has more confidence. She has a submissive personality and never causes any trouble. Mia is exceptionally sweet and kind and LOVES kids. Mia was trained by Sasha and was her companion for a long time. When we lost Sasha to old age it bothered Mia for several months but luckily Grace was able to stay with Mia and cheer her up. Mia is a very effective guard of the poultry areas at the creek and behind the house. She has helped train one of her female pups Iris too. At about 3 months old she weighed 28.6 lbs, at about 1.5 years old she weighed 90 lbs, as of August 2020 she weighs 105 lbs.

MOLLY
Jan 2nd 2014 - September 12th 2021
RIP Molly: Molly you were my first GP puppy to raise and train. You taught me so much over the years we had together. You helped me train several puppies and were always a great role model. I will miss you terribly but have a tattoo of your paw print to remind me of you always. You were my "grumpy b!+c" and I loved your no nonsense personality with puppies and other dogs. You won the hearts of many visitors to our farm as well as Jake when you came to live with me on his farm in 2015. I would have loved it if you had become a mother but that wasn't meant to be. You were so kind and gentle with the birds always keeping them safe. Our time together was way too short. You and Jake dog are the standard that I will hold all other GPs up to. You're now reunited with Sasha and Jake. Love and head pats - Jean
Bio: A.K.A. "Miss Molly and "Molly Girl" I bought Molly as a puppy from a breeder (Leah Profancik - Wayward Lane Farm) to be trained by Sasha and one day be Sasha's replacement. Molly is not registered but her sire Caesar is registered. Molly and Grace are half sisters because they share the same sire. Molly has grown into an exceptional guardian and I couldn't be happier with her. She helped us train Grace and Max and we look forward to having her train more puppies in the future. She is especially good at protecting our poultry against birds of prey. Molly is patient and loves kids but is definitely stern when puppies get too excited. Molly and Zeus are best friends and love to play with each other when we're out doing chores. At about 2.5 months old she weighed 24.2 lbs, at about 3.5 months old she weighed 37.4 lbs, at about 1.5 years old she weighed 88 lbs, at a little over 2 years old she weighed 92 lbs, at about 4.5 years old she weighed 109 lbs, as of March 2020 she weighed 92.5 lbs.

JAKE
March 7th 2008 - April 2nd 2020
RIP Jake: You were a good boy and did a great job protecting the farm. I'll never forget the day I brought you home from the sale barn. I can't believe you were ever rehomed and I'm so very glad you ended up at my home. Our entire family fell in love with you. Thanks for being my first Great Pyrenees - you taught me so much. You were gentle, patient, loyal, and dedicated to your job. Old age catches up to us all and I dreaded the day when I knew you'd leave us because I knew it would be too soon Now you can run free again without pain from arthritis, now you can hear again to chase away the neighbors on 4-wheelers, now you can see again to watch over your farm in heaven. Our other dogs have enormous paws to fill. We will miss you like you'll never know. Love and head pats - Jean
Bio: A.K.A. "Jake-y Boy" Jake is my first Great Pyrenees. I found Jake at the local flea market for sale. He was was beautiful and very scared. The people selling him said he was about a year and a half old and came from registered parents but was not registered. He had been their elderly parents dog but had gotten too big for them to care for. He was used to poultry, goats, cats, and other livestock. I paid $50 for him and it was the best money I ever spent. I brought Jake home and he fit right in on our farm. He is sweet and gentle. I couldn't ask for a better dog and will miss him so very much when he passes. Great Pry do not live very long and Jake is getting old. I'm so happy to have been able to give him a good home and have him teach me so much about the breed. At about 2 years old he weighed 98.4 lbs, at about 3 years old he weighed 112 lbs, at nearly 7 years old he weighed 128 lbs, at about 10 years old he weighed 124 lbs.

SASHA
6/21/2009 - 10/26/2017
RIP Sasha: You were a good dog and did your job well protecting the farm. Thanks for being the foster mom and teaching the girls to chase hawks and kill opossums. I'm glad we were able to give you a good home to live out your days. Now you can run free without pain. I knew this day was coming but it still seems too soon. We will miss you but Mia will miss you the most. Love and head pats - Jean
Bio: Sasha was given to us as a year and a half year old spayed female Great Pyrenees. She lived with a family who had another Great Pyr as well as goats and chickens. The family could no longer keep Sasha due to hard times. Sasha fit right in with Jake on our farm. She was an escape artist though so had to be kept in a tight pen. At about 2-3 years old we noticed she had some issues with her hips. Hip dysplasia is not uncommon in Great Pyrs. Sasha took her guarding job serious and would work herself too much in a big pen so we had to keep her in a smaller pen. Sasha helped us train Molly and Mia and was a patient and stern teacher. We were fortunate to have Sasha as long as we did and miss her dearly.
