Grace & Max Litter - DOB December 12th 2023
Grace delivered her third litter of puppies on December 12, 2023. She had no issues with the pregnancy or delivery. All of her puppies are healthy and have thrived! She had 4 boys and 3 girls of which 1 boy and 3 girls are still available for new homes. The pups will be looking for new farms when they are at least 10 weeks old. The puppies are ready to go to their new homes now.
Grace, the dam, is fully AKC registered. Maximus, the sire, is also fully AKC registered. Their puppies will be able to be fully AKC registered. Grace and Max are working guardians on our farm in Kempton, IN 46049 and Laurel, IN 47024 protecting mostly poultry. Grace and Max both come from working parents as well. All puppies will have exposure to adult dogs, ducks, geese, and chickens but will need guidance to not play with poultry and livestock.
Ideally we'd like them to go to working farm families with livestock to protect. We are happy to provide advice and training support for those who aren't experienced with Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGDs).
We have a puppy contract and questionnaire that must be submitted to us prior to purchasing a puppy. Each puppy will be current on deworming and vaccines before it leaves our farm. A record of all deworming and vaccines will be provided to the new owner. All puppies are also already microchippped with AKC Reunite microchips. Puppies will come with AKC registration paperwork, a gallon bag of their current food, the treats they are used to, a toy with littermate scent, AKC new owner folder with information, and 1 month free pet insurance once you register your puppy with the AKC.
WE DO NOT SHIP PUPPIES EITHER BY AIR OR GROUND! We also do not offer to meet you part way. All puppies must be picked up from one of our farms or a poultry show we are already attending.
Livestock guardian dogs are notoriously large dogs. They are bred for one purpose and one purpose only: guarding livestock. Because of this, they're constantly on the prowl for invaders. These dogs are not happy without a job and/or without a purpose. It can take anywhere from 18 months – 3 years for livestock guardian dogs to reach mental and physical maturity. During this time, you're required to invest a lot of your time into their training. Livestock guardian dogs should not be left unsupervised with livestock until they are fully trained and trustworthy which is generally between 18 and 36 months old. These breeds also require secure physical fencing if they are to live as a livestock guardian or homestead dog.

Wait List
Please contact us if you are interested in reserving a puppy/dog.
Our dogs have a photo album on our Duck Creek Poultry Place Facebook page. Puppy pictures and available litters are listed on our Facebook page more often than our website.
If a litter is not yet born, we will place you on a To-Be-Notified list. By being placed on our Waiting List, you will be notified of puppy arrival and deposits will be accepted at that time based on the number of puppies in the litter.
We only place our puppies/dogs in responsible homes and reserve the right to refuse sale if necessary. Adding a Great Pyrenees to your family is a long term, serious commitment, so please do not take it lightly.
Please understand that deposits are non-refundable (if you make your puppy selection that means we are turning away other families for that litter) and goes towards the purchase price. The deposit reserves your place on the Puppy Selection List.
